A new shopping centre, NØRDIKA, now being built in Vilnius near IKEA, will open its doors on 24 September this year. The project developers reveal that they have already rented 98 per cent of the entire area of NØRDIKA.
Investments in the retail centre will amount to almost EUR 50 million. It is expected that the project will prompt the development of the southern part of the city.

“Business believes in the potential of the southern part of Vilnius and is investing in the opportunity to set up in the shopping centre, which can be reached by customers without any major traffic congestion. In addition, they will always find a place to park their cars. Besides, the convenient location and a wide range and variety of shops and goods will guarantee that NØRDIKA will also attract foreign guests visiting the city,” Peter Gage Morris, the main investor in NØRDIKA, said.
In September, 15,000 m2 of the almost 40,000 m2 of total area of NØRDIKA will be opened. The second stage of development is planned for Q2 2016.
The centre will have over 50 local and international shops for family and household, including Rimi Hypermarket, Senukai, Elektromarkt, and Kotryna, the largest shop of children’s items and toys in Lithuania.
Prekybos Parkas, UAB is investing in NØRDIKA. It is operated by the Estonian real estate investment company Nantucket Holdings. Peter Gage Morris is the owner of the company. The project is being developed by VPH, UAB and the general contractor for construction is YIT Kausta, UAB. The building and landscaping was designed by the Lithuanian company Unitectus in consultation with Chapman Taylor, a renowned international practice of architects.
