03.12.2015

NORDIKA Shopping Valley is prepared for the second development phase: contracts have been signed with almost all tenants that will move in there in the spring of next year. New shops have been planned so as to offer an even wider range of family and home goods, featuring a new brand, The Pier, alongside many well-known brands in Lithuania.

The shopping valley will be home to the first The Pier store in Lithuania. It is an international brand started in California, USA in 1962, offering a wide selection of homeware and decorative accessories. Later on, it expanded to the United Kingdom, the Faroe Islands and Iceland.

The Pier started operating in Latvia in 2014 and in Estonia in 2015. There are now 2 shops in Riga and 1 in Tallinn. There are also online shops in these Baltic countries, and one will be started in Lithuania.

“As The Pier produces good results in Latvia and the new shop in Estonia also shows good results, it was a logical step to be in all three Baltic States. Now is the time when style mix vintage, classic, bohemian, natural, ethnic are in the trend, customers like this and we can offer a large assortment of these styles with many interior design items like furniture, accessories, wall decors, textile, tableware, seasonal items and more,” says Inese Locane, The Pier store chain manager in the Baltics.

According to Locane, The Pier chose to be in NORDIKA because this shopping valley is a destination for Lithuanian customers to buy home interior items.

Among the new tenants are also retailers like Top shop, Čili, Senukai, JYSK.

In the second phase, NORDIKA is set to open another 20,000 sq. m.

“Then we are fully occupied, we will be calmly making further preparations for the second development phase. Our goals remain the same: be the best place in Vilnius for families to shop and ensure a convenient and quality shopping experience off the city centre,” said Nerijus Juodelis, NORDIKA CEO.

After the completion of the second development phase, the total area of NORDIKA Shopping Valley will be 40,000 sq. m., while total investments in the shopping valley will amount to some EUR 50 million.

NORDIKA Shopping Valley was opened in September. It currently houses over 30 shops and catering facilities, including Rimi Hypermarket, Elektromarkt, McDonald‘s, and one of the largest Baby City/Toy City shops in the Baltic States.
